BOFA Wins Made in the South West Export Award

Poole-based BOFA International has scooped another industry accolade, winning the Export Award at the Made in the South West Awards ceremony in Bristol.

The company, which is the acknowledged leader in portable fume and dust extraction technology, was recognised for its stunning export performance, which sees 90% of its systems sold into 120 countries around the world.

BOFA’s export strategy is supported by subsidiaries in the US and Germany, as well as its global distribution network. There are plans to further expand the company’s international footprint.

Commented Tony Lockwood, BOFA Managing Director:

Winning this award is particularly rewarding because we placed international sales growth at the heart of our expansion plans when I led the management buy-out in 2015.

Our technologies lead the world and with workplace health and safety regulation intensifying across the globe, the market continues to move in our direction. Consequently, we see great opportunities for further growth in the years ahead and in support of this we are actively considering establishing additional facilities overseas. The future is looking bright for BOFA.

In 2017, BOFA was recognised with a Queen’s Award for Innovation and this year the company entered The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 at 163 – one of only 11 companies headquartered in the South West of England.

BOFA will now progress to the national finals.
