Supporting Asthma and Lung UK.
We are pleased to support the Asthma and Lung UK, a national charity supporting thousands of people with lung conditions across the UK. We involve the BOFA team in a number of fundraising activities throughout the year.
The environment
At BOFA we take our green responsibility very seriously. We engage in initiatives and environmental good practices within our manufacturing process and the very nature of our products mean we help our customers protect the environment. We have a firm focus on the environment in all of our product development and our systems are designed to reduce energy consumption.
Our operations
As a conscientious manufacturer our operational policies and procedures are aligned to fulfilling the requirements of the ISO 14001 standards. To ensure we instil responsible working practices in everything we do, we also comply with the following environmental and safety standards:
• WEEE (Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment Regulations 2006) – for the safe disposal of all electrical equipment, including recycling wherever possible. BOFA will dispose of any end of life product placed on to the UK market. For more information please contact us.
• RoHS – restricting certain dangerous substances commonly used in electronics and electrical equipment. All of our products are manufactured in accordance with all applicable EU law, which includes the requirements of RoHS
• REACH – concerning the registration, evaluation, authorisation, and restriction of chemicals.
• We also abide by our own SureCHECK standard ensuring quality, health and safety and environmental management are integral to our operations. We view these as our primary responsibility and key to good business.
