BOFA is proud to be a Donaldson company. Founded in 1915, Donaldson is a global leader in the filtration industry with sales, manufacturing and distribution locations around the world.
2018 BOFA listed in The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200
This league table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growth in international sales over the last two years. We entered the list at 163 and are one of only 11 headquartered in the South West of England.
2018 New global head office and centre of excellence
In April 2018 we moved into our new Head Office and Centre of Excellence. Our new building is home to our R&D facility, as well as corporate functions, including customer service, marketing, technical support, accounts, HR, training and product developments.
2018 BOFA wins Mid-Market Company of the Year award
This award recognises our leadership and vision, driving innovation and approach to new markets, all leading to sustained growth.
2017 Win Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation
We gained royal recognition for our revolutionary Intelligent (iQ) Operating System which is transforming the way that organisations around the world are able to protect the health of employees and improve production processes. We welcomed the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset and distinguished guests to present the award.
2017 BOFA turns 30
We marked our 30th anniversary with a number of events throughout 2017. We donated fume extraction units to local colleges; had a 1980's fancy dress day; had a fun day for our staff and their families; and adopted the British Lung Foundation as our corporate charity.
2017 Office in Germany opens
As our footprint across Europe continues to grow, we opened an office in Hamburg, offering sales and technical support, warehousing and customer services.
2014 3D PrintPRO range launched
BOFA launched the 3D PrintPRO range of fume extractors for the 3D printing and additive manufacturing industries.
2012 Win Queen's Award for Enterprise: International Trade
This prestigious award recognised BOFA's huge growth in export trade over three years. In this same year, we launched the Intelligent (iQ) Operating System.
2011 DentralPRO & FumeCAB ranges launched
Developed alongside dental laboratory technicians, BOFA launched the DentalPRO range of fume extraction systems to be used for bench top and under bench systems. In the same year, we launched our FumeCAB range of fume extraction cabinets that satisfy stringent health and safety standards.
2008 BOFA Americas Inc. formed
In line with the rapid sales growth within the USA and South America, BOFA formed a fully owned subsidiary - BOFA Americas Inc. - incorporating a sales and warehousing facility.
In the same year, we launched our DustPRO range, designed for the safe extraction of particulate, dust and swarf.
2007 PrintPRO & PureBEAUTY ranges launched
BOFA continued to grow its offering into new and diverse markets.
2004 Name changes to BOFA International Ltd
As BOFA became the internationally known source for high quality extraction systems, the company name changed to fully recognise its status and position within the global marketplace.
2003 ADVANTAGE range launched
The increase in Health and Safety legislation fueled the demand for effective extraction. BOFA recognised a niche in the market for laser extraction and launched its first range for this industry.
The 2003 launch of the ADVANTAGE range for laser extractors widened BOFA's scope within the laser industry.
1999 L range launched
We launched our first range of extraction units for the laser industry.
1987 BOFA UK Ltd founded
The company was formed by Dave Cornell, who identified a rudimentary Swedish filtration system for extracting the harmful colophony fumes away from PCB assembly line operators. Cornell became the sole importer in the UK, offering a fully filtered extraction and filtration system for the electronics industry.
