Leading technical support from day one

Our technical team has over 50 years’ experience working in fume and dust extraction, gained through academic study, ongoing research and practical application. They have worked with BOFA products from design and build right through to needs analysis and trouble shooting. If you’ve got a question, we’ve got someone with the answer!

Josh Evans
MEng (Hons) IChemE
Applications Engineer and Head of BOFA Academy

I joined the BOFA team in September 2017 as applications engineer, having gained a first class masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, accredited by the Institute of Chemical Engineers. This gives me a solid foundation in fluid dynamics, particle mechanics and adsorption chemistry - the key components of any good extraction system.

Key responsibilities

One of my key responsibilities is providing pre-sales technical advice to sales engineers and customers to determine which BOFA system is best for their specific application. I develop and deliver training programmes both internally to BOFA employees so they have a deeper understanding of the extractors we make and externally to OEMs so that end users are provided with the best system for their application.

As BOFA supplies units to a vast array of industries, every day I interpret and understand new applications in order to answer technical enquiries. This means no two days are the same!

Arran Morgan
MSc
Senior Product Manager

I joined the BOFA team in January 2020, having previously worked as a lead radiation physicist and later a product manager in the nuclear industry. My previous roles exposed me to working with multiple engineering disciplines as well as project and programme managers to enable task prioritisation in-line with customers’ needs. Understanding our customers’ requirements from a technical, commercial and strategic aspect is something I am passionate about. This knowledge enables a product and solution truly fit for purpose to be produced, and will lead to a strong supplier-customer relationship.

Key responsibilities

My key responsibility is leading BOFA’s product management team. Other responsibilities include recognising our customers’ needs and addressing any gaps in the product range; reviewing and assessing proposed developments; gathering customer feedback to ensure the product is continually fit for purpose; and project management of changes to the BOFA product line.

Shravya Nahar

Shravya Nahar Product Manager

I joined the BOFA team in early 2022 as a Product Manager. My career started as a test and design engineer in the medical device industry while in parallel, I was achieving my BSc in bioengineering. Through shifting gears to the educational and consumer product industry, I was exposed to marketing, quality control, and research and development. I grew passionate about finding and applying missing pieces to marketplaces in order to innovate in industries such as manufacturing and medical devices. These experiences provide holistic perspectives of engineering and entrepreneurship which I apply to our products and customers to fulfil all their needs.

Key responsibilities

My key responsibility is to create the roadmap for our 3D / AM product range. I collect customer input and feedback, conduct market research, and identify the latest policies and trends to better define the vision of our product lines. It is important to ensure our product portfolio remains competitive and in-line with industry standards and company strategy.

Bruno Cinto, BOFA technical team

Bruno Cinto Service Engineer and Technical Support

I began my career at BOFA in January 2018 as a factory operative, assembling and setting up our extractors. I then moved into the technical department and now have detailed technical diagnosis and electrical knowledge of our full range of products.

My previous experience in a customer service role enables me to strategise and prioritise effectively to accomplish multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure. Being highly organised and efficient means that I’m able to accomplish objectives with enthusiasm and precision.

Key responsibilities

My role sees me based in the office where I work with internal and external customers to address technical queries through email and over the phone, including fault finding and diagnostics. I also aid in the creation of technical documents, including training materials; identify correct part numbers; and produce warranty orders.

In the future I will visit customer sites to carry out LEV services and also to help maintain units.
